With loads of broad beaches, nature stops, kid-friendly restaurants, and fifty-fifty a footling fun park, this low-key culling to Newport is a keen spot for an Sea State weekend getaway. xi. Don't miss Family Beach Day and Fireworks. if you're there on the 4th. Beach games, music, and spectacular fireworks make the Northward Beach Clubhouse the place to be on Independence Day.

12. Linger over Breakfast at Ts. Kids become crazy for these over-the-top waffles and pancakes; you'll appreciate the endless coffee refills.

13. Sip a smoothie from Crazy Burger.Yes, the burgers are neat at this pierside favorite, but the existent treat on a hot 24-hour interval is i of their excellent smoothies.

14. Take hold of a beachside lunch at Buster Krab'due south. Free yourself from the lunch cooler and stop by this beachside bar and grill for lunch or an early dinner.

15. Take care of dinner at the Bike Cease Cafe. There's super-fresh pizza, fish tacos, and more at this local, cycle-themed hangout.

Bonus, information technology's a great spot to check out The Towers, one of Rhode Island'south about famous cultural landmarks and a beachside icon of Narragansett.

eighteen. Take a ferry to Block Island. Catch the ferry in Galilee to get to Cake Isle (the high-speed option is just a one-half-60 minutes long). There are 17 miles of beaches to explore, but Crescent Beach is in walking distance of the ferry terminal. Kids beloved the interactive Abrams Animal Farm on Spring Street, too.
